NOW HIRING
Marketing Coordinator
FULL-TIME | SALARIED | BENEFITS
ON-SITE IN WINSTON-SALEM, NC
About the Role
DogCo is a fast-moving, high-growth online membership business, and as such, marketing and digital exposure is our engine. We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator who will work directly with our Founder to execute and project manage marketing across the entire business - including the marketing engine behind our annual flagship Summit, an in-person conference hosted by the company for the industry in Winston Salem.
This is a blend of execution and project management. Some days, you’ll be writing copy and building a campaign yourself with strategic direction from the Founder; other days you're coordinating vendors and keeping five projects moving at once. We're not looking for someone who already knows how to do everything - we're looking for someone who is eager to learn, willing to try things, honest about where their strengths run out, and able to move fast without waiting to be told.
You'll also provide broader operational support across DogCo programming and the Summit, working alongside the Founder and our Operations Coordinator. While this role is not primarily administrative, on occasion you will be asked to take tasks and work to support the programs and initiatives within the business.
What You'll Do
Write: excellent copy across email, social, landing pages, web, podcast, and Summit promotion. This is the heartbeat of the role.
Execute marketing campaigns end-to-end: email in MailerLite, social on Meta/Facebook/Instagram, funnels and landing pages in Go High Level, assets in Canva, web updates in Squarespace, community touchpoints in Skool
Project manage marketing across DogCo: own timelines, deliverables, and deadlines, and keep every campaign moving to completion
Lead the marketing engine for the annual Summit: a flagship event with ~200 attendees - promotion, content, and coordination under the strategic vision of our Founder
Manage vendor relationships: starting with our podcast editor (with room to take on more) - brief them clearly, hold the timeline, and quality-check the output
Capture content with the Founder on a daily basis: be in the room, camera-ready, and able to turn real moments into marketing
Read the numbers and act on them: pull analytics, identify what's working and what isn't, and bring thoughts on the next move
Support broader DogCo admin across programming and the Summit, in partnership with the Founder and Operations Coordinator
Build systems where none exist: if a process is missing, you create it
What We're Looking For
Non-negotiables:
Excellent copywriter: you can write in our voice and make it land
Willing to learn, try, and move quickly: a bias toward action over perfection
Honest about your strengths and your gaps: you tell us straight when something isn't your wheelhouse. We're not looking for a yes-person.
Gives feedback: to vendors, to peers, and to leadership
A strategic thinker who understands analytics and uses them well: decisions are driven by numbers, not vibes
Willing to capture content with the Founder daily: comfortable both on and behind the camera and on the fly
Immediately responsive during working hours
Asks clarifying questions without hesitation; clarity is a requirement, not a courtesy
Communicates a clear yes or no: aspirational commitments are not acceptable
High bar for yourself and for leadership: you hold expectations in both directions
Comfortable operating in grey areas and translating ambiguity into concrete action
Efficient, self-directed, and systems-oriented: once trained and handed off, you fully own it, no hand-holding required
Strong Preferences:
Experience in both project management and marketing
Familiarity with our stack: Canva, Squarespace, MailerLite, Skool, Go High Level, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, and Google Drive
Experienced in a fast-growing or scaling business; understands what it means to build as you go
Experienced working directly with a start-up/Founder
Hungry for growth and depth within the role
What Success Looks Like
After training, you're running marketing projects without a checklist. Campaigns ship on time, vendors deliver because you held the line, and the Founder's daily moments become content without her having to manage it. You read the numbers, flag what's working and what isn't, and bring the next move before you're asked. You're not waiting for direction - you're already moving.
Travel & Weekend Requirements
95% of the job will take place during normal working hours from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday. However, with advance notice, there will be occasional weekend events that we will need in-person marketing support with. This includes the DogCo Business Summit, October 2-4, 2026.
If this sounds like you: email a cover letter and resume to michelle@dogcolaunch.com with the subject line: DogCo Marketing Coordinator.
