Know Your Value

A common phrase I hear in our industry is “know your value.”

But what’s even more important than knowing your value?

Knowing the perception of your value to clients, and figuring out how to increase or influence this value.

Increasing the perception of the value that your clients understand of your service is how we make sure that you truly can charge your worth.

It’s not wrong necessarily to focus on knowing your worth and your value, but it’s far more impactful to your business to know how to influence the value that clients perceive, so that you can then adjust your pricing accordingly.

Ultimately when we anchor value to ourselves, rather than to the clients, it creates a disconnect. We cannot afford to be disconnected from our clients — they are the ones paying for the services, so the value offered has to stay in alignment with the value they perceive as well.

For specific strategies on increasing client’s perceptions of value, check out episode 7 of DogCo Secrets. I deep dive into strategies like framing your services, value stacking, and social proof to help increase your clients’ perception of value.

If this was helpful, I’d love for you to share with a friend.
